Dr. Bag joined CSIR-IMMT in 2006 as Scientist and has been undertaking research independently on various aspects of molecular recognition and chemosensors. After completing his receiving his masters degree from University of Hyderabad India) he joined Prof. P. K. Bharadwaj's group at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (India) for his doctoral thesis, where he learned and studied supramolecular architectures for metal ion recognition. He further has worked on contemporary applications of supramolecular frameworks with Nobel Laureate Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn at Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (ISIS), Universite de Strasbourg, France.
Research interests:
- Supramolecular architectures for molecular recognition
- Metal ion induced fluorescence signaling
- Luminescent and colourant Polymers
- Host-guest and coordination chemistry.
- Metal oxide based luminescent nano-particles
- Bioluminescence and microbial fuel cells
